Nursery Production

Asai Nursery is proactively engaged in nursery production.

Leveraging the cultivation expertise gained in our plant tree business, we are also proactively engaged in nursery production.
Following the saying, 'half of a crop's success depends on the quality of nurseries,' producing high-quality nurseries is our mission. Looking ahead to the future where large-scale orchards and high-density cultivation techniques in Japan will likely become the norm, having a stable supply of nurseries will become the foundation that supports people newly entering agriculture.
We are proactively discovering and developing nurseries for new crops, varieties, and rootstocks. We will deliver Asai Nursery's nurseries to all the people taking on the challenge of agriculture going forward.

Features of Nursery Plant Cultivation

By utilizing knowledge and expertise spanning over 100 years, we produce high-quality nurseries.

Cultivation Expertise Developed in Greenhouse Horticulture

We undertake cultivation using hydroponic systems and environmental control devices developed through greenhouse horticulture to consistently produce high-quality nurseries.

Large-scale and Consistent
Supply of Nurseries

We boast greenhouse facilities with a production capacity of approximately 30,000 units and open-field areas with a capacity of approximately 100,000 units. We are planning further expansion of our cultivation areas in the future.

Stabilizing the Production of High-quality Nurseries Through Underground Environment Management

We aim to visualize the underground environment and maintain cultivation conditions tailored to the characteristics of each product and variety, ensuring optimal growth conditions.

Our capability

Made-to-order Production

We conduct made-to-order production to safely provide high-quality nurseries to satisfy the planting schedules of our customers' fruit production fields. We plan the produce based on the ordered quantity three years prior to planting.

Multi-item Cultivation

Utilizing our expertise gained from producing kiwifruit and apple nurseries, we have extended our capabilities to cultivate nurseries of other varieties. Presently, we are engaged in the production of tropical fruit trees and grapevine nurseries.

Expanding Fields through Land Aggregation

With the understanding and support of local governments and regional farmers, we are expanding our cultivation area by aggregating abandoned farmlands. This initiative aims to develop extensive fruit production areas and establish nurseries capable of fulfiling the demands of large-scale fruit cultivation.
